Blessing of Epiphany Water and Salt for Home Use

On the feast of the Epiphany, Holy Mother Church commemorates the manifestation of Our Lord’s divinity. On the eve of the Epiphany, the Church presents us with a ceremony during which water and salt are exorcised and blessed, making them powerful sacramentals. This Epiphany water is used to sprinkle homes during the Octave of the Epiphany.

If you would like your water and salt to be blessed on January 5th, please note:

Epiphany water containers must be a GALLON OR GREATER. No small water bottles will be blessed.
Bring your water and salt on January 5th to the Chapel Hall and place in the designated area by 5:45 p.m.
Pick up your items promptly.

If you would like to fill a small container with holy water, there will be a Holy Water tank with water available afterwards.

ONLY WATER AND SALT WILL BE BLESSED. PLEASE DO NOT BRING OTHER ITEMS.

En la fiesta de la Epifanía, la Santa Madre Iglesia conmemora la manifestación de la divinidad de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo. En la vigilia de la Epifanía, la Iglesia nos presenta con una ceremonia en la cual el agua y la sal son exorcizados y bendecidos, haciéndolos sacramentales muy poderosos. El agua es usada para rociar las casas durante la Octava de la Epifanía.

Si le gustaría traer agua y sal para bendecir el 5 de enero, por favor note y siga lo siguiente:

Los contenedores para el agua de Epifanía deben de ser de UN GALON O MAS. Las botellas pequeñas no serán bendecidas.
Traiga su agua y su sal el 5 de enero y colóquelos en el lugar indicado a más tardar las 5:45 de la tarde.
Recoja sus artículos prontamente.

Si le gustaría llenar un pequeño contenedor con agua bendita después de la ceremonia, habrá un contenedor del que la pueda llenar disponible para todos al final.
