Feb. 22, Plenary Indulgence Possible for CSP Members
February10,2021
The Confraternity of St. Peter (CSP) was founded in 2007 on the feast of the Chair of St. Peter the Apostle, which is celebrated on February 22. A plenary indulgence may be gained by CSP members on this feast day provided the usual conditions are met. The usual conditions are sacramental confession, Eucharistic communion and prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father. This year the feast falls on Monday. A Low Mass will be celebrated at 6:30 a.m.
The CSP is a sodality. Sodalities have been in existence since medieval times and are an effective way of sanctification for laity and clergy. CSP members and FSSP members pray for and support each other according to their respective vocations.
Two additional days that plenary indulgences available to CSP members are:
the day of their admission to the Confraternity; and,
annually, on June 29th, the Feast of Ss. Peter and Paul.
