In 2025, Lent begins on March 5, Ash Wednesday. The parish will recite the Way of the Cross every Friday during Lent at 6:30 p.m., beginning March 7 and ending April 11. It will be prayed again on the morning of Good Friday, April 18.
The Way of the Cross is a popular devotion during Lent and consists of meditating on the 14 events that occurred during Christ's Passion, from His being condemned to death to His burial.
A plenary indulgence may be gained when the Way of the Cross is prayed privately or publicly if the usual conditions for the indulgence and the norms for the stations are met. Only one plenary indulgence may be gained a day. A plenary indulgence may also be gained by other pious devotions, such as adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for at least one half-hour, recitation of the Rosary in a family group or church, or reciting the "Prayer Before the Crucifix" on Fridays during Lent.
The KCs will host dinners on Fridays during Lent, from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. or sold out. This gives parishioners a chance to eat before the Stations of Cross begin.
