Since 2018, Regina Caeli families have worked closely with our priests to create our very own summer camp-- a three-day program of original skits, crafts, outdoor games, musical instruction, and sound traditional catechesis. We're so happy to continue this tradition into Summer 2022!
This year's theme invokes the very heart of our faith-- the Holy Eucharist, Christ's Real Presence-- which today is so often misunderstood and devalued. Skits will tell of wonderous Eucharistic miracles, St. Thomas Aquinas' fervent love and conviction, and the importance of receiving Christ frequently and worthily. Campers will also tour the altar and sacristy with Fr. Van Vliet; experience a "dry Mass" with Fr. Rock; and adore Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. All of this-- and the fun of daily crafts, snacks, music, and water games, too!
To Register...
This year's program will run from 9AM-noon on Tuesday, July 19- Thursday, July 21. The cost will be $25 for one camper, $50 for two, and $65 for three or more. To enroll your campers, please submit the online form beginning on June 23-- although, as space is limited, it's a good idea to do so as soon as possible! The camp may fill quickly.
To Volunteer...
Please prayerfully consider donating your time as a camp volunteer! It's no exaggeration to say that the Catholic Kids Camp can't do without you. It simply can't! Without volunteers to design, organize, and assist with activities-- as well as guide small groups of campers-- this program couldn't function.
Recognizing the need for parent involvement , the parish's St. Philomena Toddler Group is graciously offering a complimentary nursery program for volunteers' smallest children. This gives the little ones a great time while allowing whole families to participate and help.
And there are many ways to help! Adults are needed to lead groups of children from activity to activity; to assist with skit rehearsals, costumes, and props; to supervise water games; to care for small children in the St. Philomena program; and to help with crafts, music, decorating, and general setup. Please be advised that volunteers over the age of 18 must complete Safe Environment training (online) prior to service.
Likewise, youth ages 13-18 are encouraged to participate as volunteer actors; group aides; and assistants with water games, crafts, food, nursery program, and other areas as needed. (By the way, this can be a great way to gain service hours toward Confirmation, honor society, or a similar goal!)
To volunteer, please fill out the online form for yourself and/or the under-18 youth in your family. May God reward your generosity!
Thank you for your interest in the 2022 Catholic Kids Camp. We hope to see you in July!
